Ukrainian grain will be high on the agenda during the upcoming visit of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov to Turkey, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Friday.
The journalists drew the attention of the Kremlin official to media reports saying that Turkey, Russia, Ukraine and the UN are planning to hold meetings in Istanbul in the coming days to discuss a roadmap for the removal of ships with Ukrainian grain.
When asked if such a meeting was really being prepared, and who would represent Russia there, Peskov replied:
"Indeed, next week our foreign minister will be in Turkey, he has some scheduled contacts there. And, of course, in the continuation of the top-level telephone conversation, the topic of Ukrainian grain will be high on the agenda."
